In 1988 the playwright Pieter Fourie started to renovate the houses, which date back to 1831. Through his love and passion for old architecture and his dedication to detail he managed to retain the sandveld character of the homestead, which is both simple, yet charming.

We do farming on a very small scale, but mostly we enjoy our horses, dogs and other animals and the simple lifestyle this place offers.
